Commissions
I am accepting a limited number of landscape commissions. If you envision having my work in your home in a particular size, colour scheme, mood, or showing a particular location or subject, I would love to talk to you about making this a reality!
Creating one of a kind paintings with clients is an exciting and creative process for both of us. I love merging your vision with my work to produce something unique and timeless, just for you.
Exclusivity - Paintings commissioned by clients will be truly unique and will not be available as print reproductions. If your piece is a gift or a surprise I will keep it off of my online channels and will never publicly share an image of your painting without your prior knowledge and consent. As the buyer, you have exclusive rights to display the piece in your home or workplace, hopefully for generations to come! I retain the right to produce another similar work or subject matter, however this will never be a reproduction of your painting, which will remain unique.
Mediums - Your piece can be an oil painting, watercolour painting, or a detailed pencil sketch (pencil is only available for still life animal portraits such as my British Birds project). Oil paintings will be produced either on wooden panel, stretched cotton canvas or on unstretched heavy cotton canvas. We can discuss these options based upon your preferences and the practicalities of production and delivery (for instance, larger pieces may need to be on unstretched canvas to be delivered safely). I can also offer advice or assistance for the framing of your piece to ensure it is well cared for and displayed to its best advantage.
Sizes and Prices - Prices do not include shipping costs or framing. Consultations via email are free but all commissions require a non-refundable 40% deposit before I can begin painting, to cover the cost of materials. Payment plans are available, but please bear in mind that your painting will not be delivered until receipt of the final payment (I have been stung with false promises before!). Sizes listed represent the full size of the paper or canvas (works on paper will have a blank margin around the edge of the piece).

Larger and custom sizes are also available, please use these prices as a guide and email me to discuss your ideas! Price may vary depending on the complexity of the composition in addition to size.
Timings - I will do my best to be as clear as possible about the estimated completion date of your piece. If you require additional alterations bear in mind that this will add more time for painting and drying for your piece to be ready to ship. As a guide please allow 6-8 weeks for any piece to be completed after agreeing a concept with me. Due to slow drying times oil paintings require up to an extra 4 weeks upon completion to ensure the paint is dry enough to be tightly packed without smudging.
