An original oil painting produced in autumn 2022 in my home studio. This painting was an experiment in reproducing cloud formations for me, and an opportunity to focus on the interplay of light and shadow in both the clouds and on the sea below. I love playing with depicting light in painting, so this was a joy to produce. It was painted from a reference photo taken of a cloudy sky over the sea and wet sand of Falcarragh beach in Donegal.

This oil painting will be posted wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap, enclosed safely inside layers of cardboard.

Due to differences in screen displays the colours may vary slightly from those in person - generally paintings appear more vibrant and fully pigmented than they do on screen.
