Another ode to the shifting light and landscape of the hills at the back of our old home. On the evening this was inspired by we walked to the top of the hill, armed with a blanket and a bottle of cider each, to sit on the huge boulders and grassy slope and watch the sunset. It was a truly magical evening, taking the time to soak in the view and listen to the evening song of the forest, savouring the tang of local somerset cider and the hazy warmth of a summer’s evening.

I have taken every effort to depict my work accurately in these images in different lights, however variation from photograph to reality is often unavoidable - generally with the original looking brighter and clearer than photographs depict.
