This painting was inspired by a soft sunset I saw several years ago in Boxgrove, Chichester. I had been feeling quite low and under a lot of stress, when I stepped outside and saw this soft pink and golden sunset over the fields. I felt much of my worry melt away and was soothed by the sight of such a huge a gently coloured sky. I was inspired to recreate this sunset in early 2024, when I was feeling quite anxious about what to paint to begin the year.

The sides are painted white to make sure this landscape painting looks clean and good from every angle
